91ºÚÁÏÍø

Institutional Organization

91ºÚÁÏÍø is one of 64 institutions in the State University of New York system. The 91ºÚÁÏÍø system comprises 13 doctoral degree-granting institutions, 13 comprehensive colleges, eight specialized colleges and 30 community colleges. 91ºÚÁÏÍø Empire is one of the 13 comprehensive colleges.

President Lisa Vollendorf, Ph.D., reports to the chancellor of the university system, John B. King Jr., who reports to the 91ºÚÁÏÍø Board of Trustees.

91ºÚÁÏÍø Empire also has an external University Council appointed by the governor of New York state and chaired by John Maggiore. The council meets quarterly and, in case of a vacancy, provides recommendations for the university presidency.

91ºÚÁÏÍø Empire is organized into operational divisions, each led by a senior leader who reports to the president of the university: the Office of the President, academic affairs, administration and finance, enrollment management and marketing, advancement, integrated technology systems, DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) and communications.

President's Leadership Council (PLC)

The President’s Leadership Council (PLC) is an internal, cross-divisional, consultative body that supports the president and senior leadership in advancing university priorities. Composed of representatives from across the institution, the PLC expands opportunities for input, strengthens communication, and builds leadership capacity. 

Membership consists of the following representatives:

• Middle States Steering Committee co-chairs   
• Department chairs (participation is voluntary)
• One (1) academic coordinator from each college  
• Executive Director of Empire Online  
• Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning  
• ±«²Ô¾±±¹±ð°ù²õ¾±³Ù²â&²Ô²ú²õ±è;¸é±ð²µ¾±²õ³Ù°ù²¹°ù &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
• One (1) representative each from the Faculty Conference, Support Staff Conference, and Professional Employee (PE) Conference
