Critical Information to review prior to considering cross registration

• Please read our Cross Registration at Other Institutions Policy
• All cross-registration courses must count towards your degree program.
• Before beginning the process, be sure to discuss with your mentor/advisor.
• It is the student鈥檚 responsibility to research and/or contact the host institution regarding their deadlines and procedures. Although 91黑料网 Empire may approve a request, there is no guarantee the request will be approved by the host institution.
• Cross registration is available for spring, summer and fall terms only. Winter session cross registration is not available.
• Students who intend to drop or withdraw from their course(s) at another institution must follow that institution鈥檚 rules and deadlines.

91黑料网 Empire to another 91黑料网 institution

Complete the following steps:

1. Ensure that your mentor/advisor approves of the request.
2. Go to the  to submit a request using your 91黑料网 Empire login credentials.
   Note: Accurate student and course information is critical. Inaccuracies may delay or deny your request.
3. The mentor/advisor will create a placeholder course. Students will receive a confirmation email with a Course Registration Number (CRN) and registration instructions.

4. Once registration is complete and matches the request, the Office of the Registrar will approve. The host institution will then approve or deny the request.
   Note: 91黑料网 Empire approval does not guarantee host institution approval.
5. Notify both institutions if you drop or withdraw.
   91黑料网 Empire will pay tuition to the host institution after full approval.
6. The host institution will send a transcript to 91黑料网 Empire and the grade will be updated automatically.

91黑料网 Empire to a Non-91黑料网 Institution

Complete the following steps:

1. Ensure that your mentor/advisor approves of the request.
2. The mentor/advisor will create a placeholder course. Students will receive a CRN and registration instructions.

3. Register for the course at the host institution. Charges will be included in your 91黑料网 Empire bill.
   Note: 91黑料网 Empire participates in consortiums such as the Hudson Mohawk Association and Rochester Alliance.
4. Fill out the Enrollment in Other Colleges (PDF) form and send it with proof of payment to StudentAccounts@sunyempire.edu.
5. If using financial aid, submit the Financial Aid Consortium Agreement (PDF). Students are responsible for paying the host institution and submitting all documents on time.
6. Tuition at 91黑料网 Empire will be the lesser of 91黑料网 Empire or host institution charges. Fees must be paid at both institutions.
7. Notify both institutions if you drop or withdraw from courses.
8. Send an official transcript to the Registrar鈥檚 Office after course completion:

Students that have not taken a course with 91黑料网 Empire previously will need to complete a nondegree application.

91黑料网 to 91黑料网 Empire Cross Registration

1. Students must go to the  to submit a cross registration request. They will use their home institution login ID and password to enter the portal. A paper form is not needed if both schools are in the 91黑料网 system.
   Note: It is critical to enter accurate student and course information into the request. Inaccurate information can lead to a delayed or even denied request.
2. Once approved by the home institution and 91黑料网 Empire, students must log into the  and register for their course(s). Please visit our  if assistance is needed.
3. Students are responsible for notifying the appropriate offices at both institutions if they drop or withdraw from the course(s).
4. At the completion of the course with 91黑料网 Empire, the Registrar鈥檚 Office will upload an official transcript to the 91黑料网 Cross-registration Portal.

Non-91黑料网 to 91黑料网 Empire Cross Registration:

1. If students need a waiver of some or all of their charges, the paperwork must be submitted to StudentAccounts@sunyempire.edu by the payment due date of every term or their registration may be cancelled. The charges may be deferred if the student is matriculated at another 91黑料网 school or at an institution that is a member of one of the consortiums in which 91黑料网 Empire also belongs.
2. If a student receives financial aid and intends to pay their 91黑料网 Empire bill with financial aid funds from their home institution, they will need to complete their institution's Financial Aid Consortium Agreement Form and submit it to StudentAccounts@sunyempire.edu.
3. Students must log into the  and register for their 91黑料网 Empire course(s). Please visit our  if assistance is needed. As long as a valid Financial Aid Consortium Agreement is on file, we will defer charges and allow a student鈥檚 registration to remain active after the payment due date. Students are responsible for their charges at 91黑料网 Empire and must pay their bill when financial aid proceeds are received.
   Unpaid accounts are referred to a third party collection agency. See Collection of Unpaid Accounts for more information.
4. At the completion of the course with 91黑料网 Empire, it is the responsibility of the student to order official transcript and send it to their home institution.
